Have had great feedback from the Better Homes & Gardens show as well as the Gardening Australia Live show late last year. Thousands of people visited the #Speaking Australian stands and took brochures. Achieved a few sales from the shows. There’s a lot of interest in quality products for diy gardens and landscaping.

Sue’s new custom deigned #RGF. 3.5m long and 0.8m wide (garden bed is 0.5m wide) it will save on grocery bills, improve the backyard look and produce fresh organic veges and herbs, which can be picked at heart’s content. Also being filled with seedlings for a couple of weeks now, not one snail or slug has figured out there is 5* dining up there yet!

The Gardening Australia Live show at the Royal Hall of Industries at Moore Park, Sydney, was a great interactive time for exhibitors and visitors. While visiting numbers were down, the quality of attendees was high. It is refreshing to see that the Gardening Australia tv crew are as real as they look on tv. Costa, Sophie and Jane are completely passionate about what they portray, as I am sure the others are too (but didn’t get the chance to hang out with them). We had great opportunity to network with peers and provide each other with experience and advice.

This is the tree that inspired the Speaking Australian logo. It is a eucalypt down the end of my street. It epitomises ‘diversity through adversity’ and I think it coins the Aussie spirit very well. Even the fauna in this land uses adversity to grown in a new way. It’s not much evolution as adaptation, entrepreneurism and touch of genius, just like what we can pursue.

The Better Homes & Gardens show was great. The Speaking Australian# stand was inundated with people, both young and old interested in the RGF#
The main gardening stage (where Jason Hodges and Graham Ross were doing workshops) looked great with the standard size RGF# setup there. Below are some shots of the Speaking Australian# stall and Jason Hodges on stage doing what he does best – captivating the kids on the benefits of growing veges.
Looking forward to the Gardening Australia show at the Hordern Pavillion in October!

Our Russian spy cat Mikki faithfully keeps covered watch in our RGF on assassins Mikael and Bob. Mikael and Bob pretend to doing ‘normal turtle things’ but are really positioning for height for a take-out hit on famed ‘night fence cat’ later in the evening. We are suspicious that Mikki may actually be putting them up to it…
